Scrutiny Through Agenda: Alexandria

Founded in 1998 to provide a forum of in-depth and unbiased discussion of city issues, the nonprofit Agenda: Alexandria celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2018.

“Our current board of directors is excited to build in the 20-year history of this organization by looking at issues without taking sides," said Michael Lee Pope, chairman.

Open to all, the program, preceded by an optional dinner, is held at The Hermitage Auditorium, 5000 Fairbanks Ave., Alexandria, and other venues around the city. The 2018-2019 season dates and topics have just been announced:

  • Nov. 26: Loan Sharks or Lenders of Last Resort?

  • Feb. 25, 2019: Whither Landmark: What Happens After Wonder Woman?

  • March 25, 2019: Del Ray: The Forgotten Town of Potomac

  • April 22, 2019: Eco-City Report Card: Is Alexandria Cleaning Up Its Act?

  • May 20, 2019: Broken Promises? Neighborhood Transitions and Transparency
