The Rt. Rev. James J. Shand, chairman of the Board of Trustees of Virginia Theological Seminary, presents an honorary doctorate to St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes Head of School Joan G. Ogilvy Holden. The degree was presented to Holden for her leadership, dedication, and service to education and the Episcopal Church. Now in her 27th year as head of SSSAS, she has served in almost every significant capacity in national and regional Independent and Episcopal Schools associations.
